Provo Utah is located about one hour south of Salt Lake City and sits at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. It is one of the fastest growing communities in Utah and currently has a population of about 122,000.*

Education
Provo provides ample opportunities for higher education with three different colleges and universities. The most prominent of these being Brigham Young University, one of the largest private institutions in the nation. Other opportunities are found in Utah Valley State College (UVSC) and Provo College.
Provo School Distirct also provides lower education containing 19 different elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools.
Recreation
Recreational opportunities are abundant in the Provo area. Peaks Ice Arena, located in Provo, is a 2002 Winter Olympics venue and is now home to various ice skating activities. City parks and trails offer outdoor recreation as well as 10 golf courses within 15 minutes of Provo. For those who enjoy viewing sports, Brigham Young University offers various college sporting events including basketball, football, and volleyball. Professional sports can be found in the Utah Jazz (NBA) and the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) just north of Provo in Salt Lake City and West Valley City Utah.
